Support

As part of the year of service I recieve a small stipend for food, gas, and other essentials.  I am required to raise a minimum of $3,000 to support my stipend.  The work exposes me to lots of different people of different income levels, backgrounds, races, religions, and can create some stress as we think about the hard questions on what it really looks like to live like Jesus would in today's society.  Support through prayer, encouragements, and money is always appreciated.

Each Little Rock YAV gets $70 per month for food which we pool together for groceries.  We also get an additional $200 per month for gas, toiletries, clothes, and other essentials as needed.  The camp provides housing, utilities, furniature, kitchen supplies, and just about anything we need like clotheslines, a piano, carpet, books, hiking trails, games, bikes to use (it's a pretty sweet set up).  As you can see, even though we live simply without much money it costs much more than $3,000 for the program to support me for the year so every little bit helps sustain the program.

If you're not sure how much to send please consider the following:
$15 will buy me groceries for a typical week
$35 will feed me for half a month.  
$45 buys all three of us groceries for a typical week.
$50 pays for gas to drive to and from the city of Little Rock for 3 weeks to a month.  
$70 is my grocery budget for the month. 
$150 is approximate cost of a month's rent. (we live on the camp property) 
$210 feeds all three of us for a month.
$270 is a month's stipend for food and other expenses for one of us.
$810 pays a month's stipend for all three of us.
$3,000 meets my fundraising requirement for the year
